PEACOCK FARM MUST LIQUIDATE ALL BIRDS DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES I have two life-threatening illnesses and I'm already in a wheelchair. Although I can walk some this is something I can do anymore. To my grief, I have to sell everything, including my breeders! I will just keep a few birds for my pleasure. Although I am sad, I can be excited for you to have a once in a life time opportunity to get into some quality breeding stock that's already been critiqued to produce the most fabulous chicks you'll ever seen. (Here are some examples) We hatched 70 chicks this year. 40 whites, 15 really nice indian blue pieds, 8 Indian blues and six black shoulders. Most of these birds are pretty good size now. I don't start selling my chicks until they're feathered out and have grown plump and tall and very healthy. We do list to make sure they are very healthy and strong before you take them home. that the customer can take i'm home.Peacock chicks are very fragile and bacteria can kill them quickly, so We don't even put them on the ground until they are 3 months old. The older they are the higher price I get for them obviously. There's a lot of work and time and effort to get them to this place. ((But this is where you're the real winner)), because I have to discount them greatly so that I can move them all quickly before I have to start taking treatment at MD Anderson Next month. I generally get $120 from my whites when they are older like this. I'm selling them for $65. I always get right at $100 for everything else when they are older like this. I am selling everything else for $50 each. Tell the gender of most of the birds at this age. (Except whites) If you wanted to buy young birds for future breeding stock, you can breed my whites with any of the other birds and not inbreed. (($$ I am also letting go of eight adult proven breeding females.$$)) They have Chicks on the ground right now.((Five very rare. White females,)) two (Indian blue female,)and one I(ndian blue white eyed pied female:) All of these hens were here on the ranch and are young, healthy, and very fertile. I also have two proven adult male breeders. They have chicks on the ground as well. A 4-year-old Indian blue. ( Like the kind you see at the zoo.) And an Indian blue pied. He is closer to 8 years old. ** Future breeders**I have an assortment of adolescent males and females who will be ready to breed in a year or two depending on their age. My proven breeding females are priced as follows. Proven White females $600 each. Proven Indian blue and Indian blue white eyed females $400 each. Proven males $400 each. All of these birds have chicks on the ground. (no inbreeding) Adolescent females $300 each. Adolescent males ready to breed next year. $300 each. We are a top of the line breeding facility. All of my bird runs are under a 60x100 ft covered arena to protect from bird flu and other illnesses. My birds are used to having a fan during the heat of the summer. When you come to see the birds we will ask you to stay in your vehicle until we can sanitize your shoes. This is also to prevent bird flu. I will be making trips back and forth to MD Anderson in Houston starting mid November. I hope to have all of these birds sold before then. If not, youwill have to schedule your visits around my trips. Feel free to contact you for more details (we do cash only and will not hold birds.) consider bringing (large) dog kennels or cages to transport your birds. Sure they close really good and don't have holes. It's a good time to buy large males because they've lost their long feathers for the year. I will offer small discounts when large orders are made. You will need secure pens waiting at home for these birds. Larger birds will need lots of time to acclimate to your environment. If you want them to stay. If you just let them go, (they will fly away!) if you buy them as babies, they adjust a lot better. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Kim, thank you $50
