Front Desk Manager
Front desk duties include accepting deliveries, checking them against orders, and entering the information into the inventory database. Candidates need to be detail oriented, have accuracy with data entry, as well as the ability to close sales and bring in new students. Make sure new items are ordered as needed so the inventory stays stocked. Inventory software is specific to this industry, training on this provided. Answer the phone and take messages. Friendly phone voice and good customer service skills required. Receive payments from customers, count change when needed. Previous experience handling cash a plus. Must pass background check. The successful candidate will estimate and detail rebar construction projects. For estimating, the estimator will review contract drawings and determine the amount of rebar that pertains to our scope of work in the total project. They will review the estimate with senior management and prepare our bid/proposal for submittal. For detailing, the successful candidate should be versed in the business of detailing rebar. They will work with our SHEAR 97 system and the contract specifications to put together the rebar drawings for the placement of rebar in the field. Drawings will be reviewed with senior management and then submitted to the contractor. The detailer will be responsible for reviewing specifications and drawings to determine how the rebar should be placed to meet the architects and engineers specifications. Projects will include small construction projects (residential and commercial), heavy civil/industrial installations and large scale commercial building projects. The successful candidate must show a proficiency to manage their time well, read structural blueprints, read and evaluate building specification documents, have a great attention for detail and be able to work efficiently with coworkers and customers.
