SOUTHEAST TEXAS WEIGHT PULL FOR DOGS
The Southeast Texas Weight Pull for Dogs will have a fun pull on Saturday the 11th of Sept..It will be Iron dog sanctioned. It will be for all breeds. All dogs must be current on all shots.Bring a kennel if you have one,or carrier.Weigh in will start at 7.30 am and end at 9.0clock am.Pull will start at 9.30 am. Entry fee will be $20.00 dollars per dog. This is for all day.We also teach as we go.We strive on keeping everyone safe,no dogs can be running loose.

PATRIOT DAY SERVICE
First Christian Church of Sour Lake (175 Mitchell St) will be hosting a community Patriotic Service to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001 and to honor those local heroes and leaders. CRUISE 'N SILSBEE
Cruise 'n Silsbee will hold a quarterly event on September 11 at 975 Hwy 327 East (former WalMart) in Silsbee. Our event begins at 5:30pm with cars/motorcyles on display to the public. The parade begins at 7:00pm on the south end of town. All vehicles, street legal or not, are welcome to participate in the parade. WOMEN'S FLAT TRACK ROLLER DERBY
Beaumont's Roller Derby team, the Spindletop Rollergirls, will be taking on Dallas's Dirty Little Secret Service in the LAST GAME of the 2010 Season. We will be honoring Military and First Responders and giving them half price tickets. Game starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Ford Park Exhibit Hall. BARBEQUE BENEFIT
Phillip Inboden was killed in a motorcycle accident on Aug 26, 2010. He had no life insurance. We are attempting to raise money to pay for his funeral expenses. 6TH ANNUAL BIG BASS CLASSIC
Please join us September 18, 2010 for Deweyville Alumni's 6th annual Bass Classic. We will be at Mill Creek on Sam Rayburn taking entries at 4:30 am. The two man tournament will start at 6 am and weigh in will be 3pm. Entry fees are $100 per team and $20 for Big Bass. There will be a 50% payout to the top 3 teams and 100% payout for the Big Bass. All proceeds go toward the purchase of local 4-H and FFA kids' projects at the Newton County Fair.
